Square Dishes in Zebrano
I do not normally use Zebrano, since I prefer hardwoods native to the British Isles but I was given a small board of Zebrano which was too thin to turn into bowls, and I decided to experiment with making some small (square) dishes.
Because the piece of wood spinning at high speed on the lathe has got flat faces and square corners, the noise can be considerable (and helps to exercise the necessary caution in case of a nasty accident from having fingers struck by a piece of wood spinning at about 3000 r.p.m.!)
